States Around World Should Lobby for Kosovo's Independence

Kosovo Minister for Dialogue Edita Tahiri called on Latin American, Asian and African countries on Wednesday to lobby for Kosovo's international recognition.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Tahiri invited participants from Latin American, Asian and African countries to the International Leadership Meeting in Pristina to aid the Kosovo's international recognition.
"Kosovo deserves recognition from all countries of the world, therefore I invite you, participants from Latin America, Asia and Africa, to lobby for recognition of Kosovo's independence on your continents. Kosovo is a country with great economic potential and natural resources which combined with human capital means that we represent a great opportunity for foreign investment," the minister said, as quoted by the Kosovar Epoka e Re newspaper.
Tahiri added that the path to independence has been long and difficult, but Kosovo has been walking along with dedication and determination and with allies such as the United States, the European Union and the democratic countries in the world.
The International Leadership Meeting is organized under the patronage of the Kosovo Assembly President Kadri Veseli, and gathers around 250 representatives from different countries all over the world.
