Albpetrol sale, Wisner meets Berisha

When the evaluation process for the sale of Albpetrol is still a mystery, the Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, has met the US diplomat that works for the Patton Boggs Company.

Berisha expressed to Wisner the evaluation for his work at Patton Boggs, a process that will serve for the preparation of the tender for the privatization of Albpetrol, ande calred that the evaluation of bids will be a transparent process, based on the established criteria.

“Patton Boggs” is the company that advises the Albanian government for the privatization of Albpetrol, which is in the evaluation process.

This process doesn’t seem to be easy, especially after some hot issues that are related with the security of the financial guarantee and the fulfillment of the strategic criteria, especially for the highest bid of 850 million EUR presented by “Vetro” and “Silk Road Equity”.

If this bid will be successful, “Patton Bogs” will profit a fee of 2.5% of the value, which goes to 22 million.
